What heat-recovery ventilation actually does

Fresh air without opening windows, and why it matters in an airtight house.

White ventilation ducts fitted below the ceiling

The problem

New windows stop draughts, but also fresh air. Condensation, mould and stuffy mornings follow.

How it works

Stale air leaves from the kitchen and bathrooms, fresh air enters the rooms, and the two streams pass each other without mixing, so the heat stays in.

What upkeep it needs

Filters are changed about every six months. The client portal reminds you and lets you order them directly.
